Corona-Virus Information

It’s been 3 weeks since the Coronavirus has changed our lives as we know it. Since then, it has impacted our personal lives, the lives of loved ones, and our community. A shining glimmer of hope has been watching our community and our Downey Vet Team come together. Clients have made sure we have enough toilet paper, gloves and masks have been donated, and a vendor has made sure our staff has been fed (we love to eat!). We’ve had to change how we do things around here, sometimes making changes daily. We thank you for your patience as we continue to adjust.

 

Today I wanted to let you know of a couple of adjustments we are making. As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we remain committed to the well-being and safety of our team and community. With that, beginning Monday, April 13th, we will be closing during the week at 5pm. This will allow us to extra time to clean and sanitize as well as a little more time for our Team members to spend with their families. Arrangements are being made to reschedule any existing appointments.

 

We are continuing with curbside service. We understand that appointments are taking longer than usual. We are doing our best to provide the care your pet deserves as well as minimize the wait. We are looking into alternative methods of communication. In the meantime, we ask that you be prepared to receive a call from an unknown number and remain in the parking lot. Drop-off appointments are available. Please contact us to schedule.

 

If you are a CareCredit account holder, payments can be made on their website https://carecredit.com/Pay/BFJ594 or on their app. Otherwise, we will continue to accept payments by phone or cash.

 

As we continue to try to flatten the curve, we ask that if you are feeling ill, please reschedule your appointment or have someone else bring your pet. We have also asked our team to stay home if they are experiencing any symptoms or may have been exposed to COVID-19. If you need to refill your pet's medication or order prescription food, please call ahead. Easy online ordering is available on our pharmacy, with free 3 – 5 day shipping on most items. As quickly as changes are made, new information hits the airwaves.
